This is a classic Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machine in the original black. The finish on this machine is very shiny with pin scratches. Some areas of the finish are “micro pitted” which gives the visual impression of an orange peel, though it is relatively smooth to the touch. However, because the surface is so shiny it still gives off the air of having a nice luster overall. The gold filigree decals are worn in one area at the front of the machine. It has an LED light bulb to brighten the sewing area. This Featherweight has a decal on the front that says Jack’s Sewing Machine Service with a phone number. We did. not remove it as we didn’t want to damage the finish.
