Our Singer Featherweight 221's and 222’s are in good, very good or excellent condition. They are vintage machines, made between 1933 and 1968. They run well, have been serviced and cleaned. Each come with 5 bobbins, a set of screwdrivers, a cleaning brush, a copy of the instruction book and a carrying case. We test sew on each one before they are made available for sale.

This is a classic Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machine in the original black. The finish on this machine is very shiny with pin scratches. Some areas of the finish are “micro pitted” which gives the visual impression of an orange peel, though it is relatively smooth to the touch. However, because the surface is so shiny it still gives off the air of having a nice luster overall. The gold filigree decals are worn in one area at the front of the machine. It has an LED light bulb to brighten the sewing area. This Featherweight has a decal on the front that says Jack’s Sewing Machine Service with a phone number. We did not remove it as we didn’t want to damage the finish. This workhorse is ready to sew!

The finish on this machine is super shiny with a few small smudgy marks and hardly any scratches. The Art Deco decals are in excellent condition. A numbered needle plate facilitates accurate sewing. It has an LED light bulb to brighten the sewing area. There is a chip on the bulb housing, on the upper far left, about the size of a large shelled sunflower seed. The case has one faulty latch. This is a classic Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machine in the original black that has been thoughtfully modified for off-grid sewing. It is no longer electrical and has been adapted to a smooth hand-crank operation. The bobbin winder has been disengaged, so bobbins must be wound on a separate winder. This special Featherweight comes with 20 prewound bobbins — ten in Sandy and ten in Pearl Gray — plus two spools of matching thread. Also included is a rechargeable cordless LED light that provides over 14 hours of illumination per charge.
The finish on this machine is super shiny with very few pin scratches and a couple of small smudgy marks. Overall the finish is beautiful. The gold filigree decals are intact and in excellent condition. The lid on the case for this machine has been expertly covered with sewing themed fabric. (See photo below.)
