The Story of Our Angel Quilters

I made the very quick decision to open Roxanne's, A Wish and A Dream after The Treasure Hunt closed in mid 2011. I just couldn't bear to see our great quilting and knitting shop disappear.

I had lots of fabric coming in, but not very many samples made out of the new and exciting designs I found.

Ranell Hansen had an idea. She told me to get lots of tables and make sure the electricity worked. The next week 25 Quilting Angels appeared.

They worked like busy little beavers all day and produced 10 quilt tops! This was a truly remarkable group of women!! Many I did not know well at all, they just came to help. Some remembered my shop from five years earlier and just wanted to help.

Well, as every quilter knows, quilters are a special breed of people. They are nurturing, giving and generous and always ready to lend a helping hand. I don't know if I could have gotten my shop open so quickly without these fine women. I will be eternally grateful to them. What a blessing in my life!
